CBC Radio is doing a new show ….It’s called The Confessional and we’re currently looking for great Canadian story-tellers to fess up on national radio about things that have never been owned up to before.
The show has a wide emotional range and can easily move from hilarious, to bizarre to deeply emotional stories- so all are valid. The important thing is that the stories (just in their nature of telling) are confessions.
Here’s the brief ‘About’ blurb:
Inside this half-hour radio space, host Krissy Holmes will bring you unforgettable confessions from everyday Canadians who are ready to air their dirty laundry. Sometimes the stories are serious, sometimes they are hilarious, but no matter what, they’re always surprising. It’s time to shake the skeletons out of your closet. The nation is ready to listen. Step into The Confessional.
We are currently seeking stories that end in ‘Confessions’, that fall under the following themes (but are always open to confessions of any variety)
– Secret Identity
– Things your parents still don’t know
– The lengths you’d go (to get what you want)
– Stuff you stole
– MacGyver moments
– Playing hookey (what were you REALLY doing when you called in sick)
– Travel Confessions (what goes on the road stays on the road)
– Objects of interest (objects that have a curious backstory)
– Faking it
– Celebrity encounters
– Social Media meltdowns
